Help! My internet explorer icon has disappeared from my quick launch bar!

Hubby's been playing with the computer in my absence, now I have found that my internet explorer icon has disappeared from the quick launch bar. How do I get it back? I have tried dragging the icon on the desk top over the quick launch bar and releasing the mouse, but this does nothing. Can any one make any suggestions other than putting a password on the computer so he can't use it unless I am watching.

why do you actually still put up with the IE? use firefox instead, so much easier and also faster to use, since it's open source and less vulnerable than anything microsoft...you can get it here

1 ) Right-click the desktop, choose 'New' then 'New shortcut'
2 ) In the dialog that appears, type "C:\Program Files\internet explorer\iexplore.exe" (including the quotes)
    3 ) Click OK

Assuming your system is set up normally, this should work. Nothing wrong with Internet Expolorer, by the way; horses for courses.

Right click within quicklaunch then open folder. Then paste the shortcut into it.

I agree with Cin. Ditch IE & get Firefox.

IE7 works very similar to FF2. But FF is still my favorate.
But to sort out the quick launch problem, simply drag and drop you desktop icon onto your quick launch bar. That will automatically add the icon to your quick launch bar.
