Sorry if these questions have been asked before - I have searched the forum but haven't found my answers.
I'm moving to Tenerife scarily soon - number of days is now nearly in single figures!
I have a job and so will be paying into the social security system. Am I correct in thinking that I cannot use state healthcare for the first three months of paying social security? And that for those three months my EHIC (E111) will cover me? Would you recommend getting private health insurance for those first three months?
Or am I wrong & I'm actually covered straight away?
I'm also having trouble finding out exactly how much my social security payments will be as a full time permanent employee? I think I've done a pretty good job of predicting my tax deductions but I need to be able to work out what will be left of my salary each month so I can budget properly.
