Well... this bar has changed hands since I was last in there a couple of years back and I have a feeling it will change hands again in the not so distant future (let's hope so) because although the barman is a fantastic guy who probably is the reason that most people go in the place, unfortunately the owner seems to have a HUGE chip on her shoulder and cannot seem to be able to accept the fact that there is more than one person born on the same day
So... after doing nothing wrong and not saying anything nasty to anyone, I was asked to leave this bar last night for the sole reason that I happen to share a birthday with the owner, Heather. I wasn't even allowed to speak to my friends and let them know where I was going.
Fortunately though, I am not a person to get put off by that, so I popped over the road to O'Reilly's and got mightily drunk, danced my socks off to good music and vaguely remember being pulled up on stage for something or other... probably to do with being 35
So... Cobra Bar? No. I would not recommend it. The most unfriendly and prejudiced people I have ever met on the Island, and I've been here a good few years and have met a LOT of people, and have a lot of friends, so that's saying something
