I presume this is in regard to a certain member being banned yesterday for key words and phrases that were in a PM.
I replied to a PM earlier from a family member of this particular banned member explaining that we now have a new anti-spamming measure in place that detects certain spam keywords and phrases in PM's and automatically bans people if they are found. Zarion is then notified by automatic email that a ban has been placed, so we knew the ban had happened yesterday.
Obviously these are very specific phrases, as we would not want people getting banned unfairly left right and centre... and this particular person had used the specific name of another forum which must have been in conjunction with other key words in order to be picked up.
I did convey to the family member of the banned person that in order to appeal the ban all they had to do is forward the original PM to Zarion as proof that it does not contain anything untoward and the ban will be lifted immediately, as we have not seen and cannot see contents of PM's unless they are sent to us... however if something has been posted on facebook, then this indicates to me that the spam filter was correct

I can therefore only put it down to bitterness that they have been found out that it has been posted on facebook.
As far as this forum is concerned though, if a member who has not posted in months is coming on here to spam other members, then the ban is justified, as spamming is against T&C's and the member obviously does not want to participate anymore, otherwise they would have posted over the past few months.
I have not seen the PM, nor has anyone else, so obviously if the person in question is innocent, then forwarding the original PM will not only clear their name, but also help us revise keywords and phrases so that a mistake doesn't happen again.
Somehow though, I don't expect that to happen... so I would just ignore it.
