 Account Embargoes
I would suggest all ex-pats who are non-Spanish reidents read the Tenerife Sun out today. Apparently Spanish banks are in the process of freezing the accounts of all non-Spanish residents. By that I mean accounts of anyone who has opened a bank account without an NIE number and have not reported themselves as "non-resident" to the police.
The article relates stories of direct debits not being paid from the aforementioned accounts. As if people don't have enough problems with Telefonica! |
