I took my mum to this place tonight and I have to say it is now on my list of TOP restaurants on the Island... and it's only down the road!!!
We had... 2 starters, 2 main courses, a bottle of vino blanco seco de Vilaflor, & 2 baraquitos. Guess how much?... I dare you........ 35€!!!!
My mum had an anchovie salad with avocado which was HUGE for starter, and I had mushrooms stuffed with local blue cheese. Both were FANTASTIC.
For main course, I had a tortilla wrap stuffed with bonito, salad, local cheese and quails eggs, with a honey dressing. Also gorgeous!
The waiter (and owner) spoke better English than English people and he's never been to England! He even had the accent down to a tee!
The wine was lovely, the baraquitos were big ones and I was only disappointed by the fact that the dessert (copa de fresas) was off the menu due to strawberries being out of season.
This place has been recommended to me many times by my Spanish friends and I'm really glad I finally got round to trying it, as I will be back again and again.
Personally, I think the prices are WAY too cheap too, as all the menu is devised by the chef & owner and is really original... not just Canarian food, but an eclectic mix of many different flavours.
The main food on the menu is not all they have, as the specials list is extensive and depends on the produce they get from day to day.
HIGHLY recommended! Do any west coast folks fancy a meetup there?
GO! You won't regret it!
