| Weekend afternoons are peak time in UK clubs but not here as Tenerife has a bit of a wind problem most days (particularly in the summer) with the (relatively) calmest conditions and most model flying taking place early in the morning and during the couple of hours before sunset.
The wind situation at the big club site is particularly problematic at this time of year but the problem is solved by flying indoors (weekends only) at el Recinto Ferial in Santa Cruz. This is a seriously huge venue and probably one of the best indoor flying sites in the world.
I will probably be at Club Tornado 1900ish both Saturday & Sunday this weekend. Feel free to drop by for a look see (assuming that you are not drowning your sorrows!).
