I don't think there is a real fast way to learn Spanish, the younger the person the easier it will be. When i started learning i concentrated on the alphabet till i new it off by heart, then i learnt the numbers and so on. I have some Spanish friends who own a cafe/bar in tenerife, when i see them i try and talk in Spanish and i am always asking them what things mean or what things are called in Spanish. I always carry a pocket dictionary with me. It's not easy but stick at it and good luck.
