This is the restaurant at the side of the motorway just near Hiper Trebol and the Cepsa garage.
TheBloke and I poped in for lunch yesterday and I have to say that it was fantastic. Proper canarian 'menu del dia' cost 15€ for the 2 of us.
I had the Potaje con lentejas (Lentil soup with meat and choritzo) for starter and the bloke had the Sopa de Pescado (fish soup) Both were to die for. Loads of cumin in the potaje!
I had the Paella for the main course and the bloke had the meat option, that consisted of potatoes stuffed with meat and rice. This too was really nice and the portions were massive.
The other option on the menu for the main course that day was Meluza con Salsa Verde (Sole in Green Mojo Sauce).
The restaurant is where all the Canarians go for their lunch hour, so the service was fast, friendly and efficient.
With your meal you also get a coffee or some cheese and a bread roll with butter.
Not bad for 7.50€ a head... it's not a fancy place and the motorway is next to the restaurant, so it's not very scenic, however if you're after a cheap and tasty bite to eat, you can't go far wrong.
